a chromatographic matrix for purification of antibodies
with genetically modified Protein L' resistant to alkaline as ligand
the only alkaline resistant protein L matrix comercially available
low ligand leacking and high dynamic binding capacity powered by oriented coupling
Protein L’-μSphere is a chromatography medium (resin) for the capture of antibodies and antibody fragments. It combines a rigid, high-flow agarose matrix with the immunoglobulin-binding recombinant protein, L ligand, which has a strong affinity to the variable region of antibody kappa light chains. L’-μSphere is suitable for the capture of a wide range of antibody fragments such as Fabs, single-chain variable fragments (scFv), and domain antibodies.
• High binding capacity, low ligand leakage, and selectivity for a broad range of antibody fragments reduces process time and amount of medium.
• Enables a platform approach for purification of antibody fragments.
• Increased productivity, process economy, and process design flexibility due to rigid matrix.
The high binding capacity and selectivity for a broad range of antibody fragments makes L’-μSphere an excellent capture platform for antibody fragments containing kappa light chains. Using L’-μSphere requires minimal optimization and it produces high purity in one separation step. This results in significant savings in costs, effort, and time during process development. In addition, L’-μSphere provides several advantages in manufacturing processes because the high selectivity of affinity capture reduces the number of subsequent polishing steps.
L’-μSphere is available in bottle as well as HiTrap prepacked columns for convenient efficient process development or smalL’-scale purification.
