Pfu DNA polymerase exhibits 3'→5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity that enables the polymerase to correct mis-incorporated nucleotides, and lacks 5'→3' exonuclease activity. The high accuracy, specificity, and yield of Pfu DNA Polymerase make it ideal for demanding PCR applications such as site-directed mutagenesis and PCR expression cloning.
